From physics to financial problem-solving.
I’m the child of university professors, and I grew up all over the country — California, Iowa, Tennessee, Texas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. I studied physics at Swarthmore College, then earned my law degree at Rutgers School of Law in Camden. The physics turned out to be good training: my work is diagnosing complex systems under stress — except the systems are people’s financial lives.
Since 2011, my practice has focused on helping people and businesses solve financial problems. I’ve helped countless people struggling under overwhelming debt become free of it using the tools of the Bankruptcy Code. In my experience, overwhelming debt is insidious and corrosive — it attacks people’s families, their health, and their sense of themselves. Helping people out from under those burdens is one of my greatest accomplishments, and I never get tired of the moment a client realizes it’s actually over.
The other side of my practice looks forward instead of back: estate planning — wills, trusts, and powers of attorney — and guiding families through probate and New Jersey’s inheritance tax system when a loved one passes. Different work, same principle: an educated client, a clear plan, and no surprises.
South Jersey is my home. I live in Camden County with my wife and our two young children, and I practice a few minutes from where I live. When you call my office, you get me — not a case manager, not a call center. That’s the way I built the firm, and it’s the way it’s staying.
